@worriedmamaxx hey i didnt want to read and run. Not sure how your mind can be reassured but is it possible to have genetic testing done for you and your partner? I think these things are a lottery. Some couples probably have higher chances of conceiving babies with certain traits but in genetics nothing is a given. I am sorry that i cant offer more advice and of course, i am so very sorry to hear of your termination. May i ask how it was diagnosed? I do hope you go on to conceive again soon and that you receive the all clear this time. Good luck and baby dust xx

Hi OP, I don't have experience of a baby with down syndrome, however I had a TFMR 18 months ago as my son had severe brain damage caused by strokes and seizures in the womb that were identified at 27 week of pregnancy.
We had genetic testing done (he was our first child), and discovered that I actually care a really rare mosaic genetic condition that I had passed to my son. I am asymptomatic, so I was unaware that I carried this faulty gene. I'm not sure whether this is something you could ask about? If you're still in touch with your bereavement midwife she's probably the one to ask.
However, we have since gone on and had a healthy rainbow baby 7 months ago. I feel extremely lucky to have not passed on the gene to our rainbow baby, just wish our son was here and healthy too 💔
