Is this normal?

I'm 6 months pregnant and for the last few days my back ribs felt tender and sore when I moved.
Today I moved and I felt something "pop" in my ribs and now all I can is sit on the sofa with a heat pad against my ribs and my husband has to help me to get up and move around. Very sore.

Is this a normal thing sometimes in pregnancy or do I need to ring my doctor/111?

Thanks in advance

I had crazy rib pain on one side in my pregnancy but at the front. The pressure of my bump pushing on it was excruciating. Makes me feel funny thinking about it. I spoke to my midwife about it and she said it was very normal.

not sure about the back ribs tho. Give your midwife a message and she should be able to help/advise

I got this on my left front rib in my first pregnancy about 28 weeks really painful esp at night turning. I noticed I had a displaced rib post partum where the pain was. Currently 34 weeks second pregnancy and no rib pain so it all must have got widened the first time.
Best of luck with your pregnancy

Your ribs are expanding to make room for baby. Gross, but normal!
