why do early pregnancy cramps feel like?

At the start of both of my pregnancies there were times I would have thought my period was coming if I didn't already know I was pregnant

thank you for replying:) and that's what i'm experiencing now for the past week and a half and no sign of AF, sometimes it's a heavy ache sensation at the bottom of my uterus then sometimes it's mild cramps on each side & then sometimes it's intense for a minute or so then leaves :/

@islarosex I can't remember exactly, but I just know I was convinced AF was coming but I'd had a positive test. I think it's all hormonal x

Hi, I’ve had no symptoms other than a little cramping a few days ago. My period is due 11th March. I was in patient and took a test this morning a little early. Is this a positive result?
