Hi all,

I had my 12 week scan today and received the news that my baby has a nuchal reading of 8mm and heartbeat was 191bpm. I had a lot of information thrown at me not much of it has gone in but the one word that stuck out was termination. My husband and I are beside ourselves and have been reading up on it all day. One thing I kept reading was that speaking to other mums in similar situations help so I’m reaching out and wondering what other people’s experiences were and what was the outcome? Thank you in advance ❤️

I'm so sorry, I've not advice regarding your specific findings but with my son we were told he had severe brain abnormalities when I was 27 weeks pregnant and I found a Facebook group of other parents who had children with the same condition and it helped me massively. I wonder if there's anything similar for yourself?
Sending lots of love xx

Thanks so much @Littlelighthouse. How are things going for you? You don’t have to talk about it if it’s too upsetting. I know I just have to wait for further tests but the days in between seem to be torturous.

@Ceebee87 I completely empathise, it is awful.
With my son this all happened 18 months ago now, and sadly in the end we chose to TFMR as he was severely brain damaged and his quality of life was extremely poor.
This was in no way related to anything you have mentioned though, so please don't let that scare you. My son's condition was an extremely rare genetic condition that I had passed on.
I hope you are managing to get some rest, but I know how stressful the wait for everything is
