Yesterday I went for my 12 week scan where I was told to come back today for another scan as they couldn’t see the bottom end of baby’s spine. My scan today was then postponed until after the weekend due to weather conditions.
I was advised that the end of the spine could just be ‘shadowed by the hips’, and of course, baby wasn't cooperative in moving either.
I’m just upset about the whole thing. It went from an abdominal scan to an internal scan. We saw the heart flickering but I didn’t get to hear it and I wasn’t given my official due date either. Our tech then brought someone else in for a 2nd opinion. It was just a stressful situation overall.
Naturally, I am quite concerned. Has anybody had a similar experience where the ultrasound tech couldn’t find something but it ended up being ok?
