Can anyone suggest anywhere in the south east area that are not too pricy? Cheapest I've found so far is £215

I had one at babypremier. Scan was £90, £20 for pics and cd, £30 for DVD I think. They were very nice, did 20 mins of video. I think it's worth it, my husband huffed and puffed that it was a total waste of money but was enchanted while the screen was on. I didn't really care if what he looked like at that point was going to be what he looked like later(haven't had him yet!) I am just in love with him and would gladly stare at him all day already! Was also nice to see that the fingers and toes, etc. were all still there a few months after 20 wk scan. HTH

I have been shown a website with pictures from the 4-d thing and although it's very sweet there's no way I'd pay for it, in a few months you'll see the real thing anyway and it's a scan that you don't need. I'm not saying that scanning is bad, but personally I only want to have the scans that are for medical reasons as it were, rather than just for me to be nosy, but this is just my opinion of course. The pictures look very good and if it's your sort of thing then yes I'd say it's worth it.

I would be wary if the spending the money will be a strech to you. i had one done at 30 weeks this time, a company near me was offering a free 10 minute 4d scan as part of a promotion so we went along.

The baby refused to open legs so they were unable to tell us the sex and the cord was dangling right in front of the face so we only got a glimpse of the nose and the the forehead.

I would have been GUTTED had we had paid for it, although I think they re-arrange your appointment for another time but no guarentee's next time would be any better.

I have heard many people say how fab they are but I would be very wary of paying such a high price for one if money was tight.
