Baby hurting me when kicking

This is probably totally normal or maybe I’m just not used to it yet but when the baby kicks it’s really hurting me, sometimes I’ll openly say Oww out loud, I feel a bit stupid 😂. It feels like they’re kicking parts of me inside as sometimes I don’t feel it on my tummy if that makes sense it’s more inside. Other times it will be a proper jab to the stomach. I’m 30 weeks and have an anterior placenta so not sure if this is normal but I’m only starting to really feel it now the baby is getting bigger and the placenta isn’t cushioning it as much. It’s also regularly waking me up during the night too.
Is it supposed to be this painful?

Yep, normal.

Sometimes it feels as though my baby is playing the harp with my ribs, it hurts! So I'd say it's normal.

DS1 movements didn’t hurt me or feel uncomfortable at all so I thought women were just being dramatic. Now 34 weeks with DS2 and I know exactly what you mean! He loves to stretch out under my ribs or around my pelvis. Some of his kicks definitely make me jump!
