24 Weeks Pregnant- SPD/PGP and Nerve Pain

Hello! I am 24 weeks pregnant and have been diagnosed with PGP/SPD. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Hypermobility Type so did anticipate having some mobility issues during pregnancy.

I have been referred to a physiotherapist who has given me some exercises to complete. But since going on a walk Saturday, I have constant painful electric shocks in my back, hips and legs that make the exercises impossible. I have periods of complete numbness and my hips give way if I put weight on them. I haven't slept at all and the nerve pain is no better this morning. I am walking with a limp and struggling to move.

I just wondered what people typically do re office work in these scenarios?

I drive to work but after losing feeling in my lower body twice am worried about it happening whilst driving. I have a job that can be worked from home but my manager has made many unsympathetic comments since finding out I am pregnant and I can tell that he isn't pleased. I would have to request home working, probably with a GP note, but feel so guilty and wanted to know what others have done in this situation?

Thanks for your help in advance! :)
