Ectopic possibility

I had bloods done today as I had positive tests last week then 3 days heavy bleeding over the weekend and still positive lines on pregnancy tests.
DR has said hormone levels are too low for a pregnancy but are higher than he would like if it was a chemical pregnancy I had experienced so has booked me in for more
Bloods to see if they've dropped within 48 hours on Wednesday.
He said if they hadn't dropped then I will be referred to check for Ectopic.
I'm now terrified and freaking out and have to wait until Wednesday.
I would be 4 weeks today.
Can someone reassure me that if it was ectopic they don't tend to rupture this early? I have tried to Google and it says 6+ weeks is the time when they can rupture but I just wanted to hear from anyones personal experience please 🙏🏼 Thank you x

I did another test today and it's no fainter. It even looks darker to me.
Gosh I'm so worried. Bloods again tomorrow so we will know whether it's chemical or ectopic but I'm terrified it's going to rupture I can't sleep I'm so anxious.

Mine was discovered at 7 and a half weeks - I'd started bleeding with one sided pain so went to the EPU where it was found on a scan. It hadn't ruptured and was actually resolving itself so I just had to keep going in every 48 hours until the HCG went down to zero while monitoring symptoms! Hope it goes well for you and you get the answers you want x

Mines happened at 5 weeks. I didn’t have heavy bleeding or anything, just some pain. But my HCG levels would not go up normally. This was my first Ivf cycle, I honestly don’t know how to deal with it

Update:
I had repeat bloods done after 48 hours due to suspected chemical pregnancy or ectopic and my HCG had actually increased fro 38 to 107 so I'm now being referred for a scan on Tuesday next week at the EPU. Dr said a viable pregnancy could still be a possibility at this stage.
Would the hcg levels not go up like that if it was ectopic?

In a viable pregnancy you would expect HCG to double in around 48 hours whereas with an ectopic they increase (or decrease) at a slower rate.

As yours has more than doubled I'd have thought that's a good sign that it's not ectopic or a chemical!

Update:

HCG levels have gone from
38 - Monday
107 - Wednesday
430 - Saturday
1,260 Today

Vaginal scan thismorning showed nothing in uterus. The consultant said it was still too early for anything to be seen yet. He said HCG must be at least 1,500 before a gestational sac is detected.
My HCG was 1,260 today but surely that's high enough for them to see something if it's in my uterus?!
She didn't seem worried and said it's still too early and I have more bloods Friday and a repeat scan.

Update:
Scan today showed a live thriving pregnancy with a heart beat in my fallopian tube. I am beyond devastated and have to go in for surgery in the next few hours.

I'm so sorry you're going through this 💐 it's the worst news. When you're ready and if it's the kind of thing that helps you, I found a page on Instagram called the worst girl gang ever which is all about various forms of pregnancy loss. They do podcasts too and a few of them are about ectopics. Following mine, I found it really hard to put into words how I was feeling and it helped me to process.

Best of luck for your recovery x

I'm so sorry to hear this. I had an emergency ectopic surgery in January and it traumatic. Take care of yourself and rest, and allow yourself to grieve. If you have a partner, try to be extra kind to each other - I admit I've snapped at my DH a few times after surgery and he is also struggling with the loss. Get a lot of sleep and take it easy xxxxx

I'm so sorry OP- similar happened to me at 6 weeks and had to have emergency surgery and tube removal. It will get easier but take time to recover and grieve. Sending hugs.
