Hi all,

I’m a bit confused with all the dates and stuff and would love to see what you all think...

In summary:

LMP 15/11/2023
Irregular periods since being off the pill in Aug 2022
negative CB on 13/1/23
super sore boobs for almost all of January
Positive CB on 14/2/23
always want to pee until end of Feb

had ultrasound on 23/2 (GP thinking I am at 13-14 weeks!) but on only saw yolk sac, don’t think they saw fetal pole but I’m not sure. I was given the leaflet for pregnancy of indeterminate viability.... and rebook for ultrasound in 2 weeks

25/2 - post-coital bleeding, fresh red small amount no clots, next day became brownish

past week or two:
no sore boobs, completely back to normal
don’t feel the urgency to pee
More spotty than usual

I did another CB yesterday and it is still positive, though I heard it can remain positive for many weeks after miscarriage....

my next ultrasound is this Friday and I’m feeling quite anxious... been drowning in work past 10 days or so to take my mind off it...

not sure if it was just too early to see on ultrasound or whether it was a miscarriage,...

Any thoughts? 😟

As your periods are irregular and you had a negative test on 13/01 you’re definitely not 13-14 weeks. They date it based on ovulation on CD14.

it’s hard to say how many weeks you should be as you don’t know when you actually ovulated or when you would have first got a bfp if you had tested between those dates. Based on when you did get a bfp and when you got a negative I would guess at anything between 5-9ish weeks now. On 23/02 you could have been 3-7ish weeks so yes very likely too early to see anything on the scan.

yea that's what I was thinking as well, probably somewhere around 6-7 weeks now.

although I'm also quite worried I've had a miscarriage without knowing - bit of spotting but no cramps or pains at all. and more importantly the "pregnancy" symptoms of sore breasts are all gone :(

If you have had a miscarriage that early (6 weeks or before) your tests will be negative or a lot fainter very quickly. I’ve had 2 losses at 5 weeks

at this stage it could go either way. Spotting in early pregnancy can happen a lot. Hopefully all ok for you 😊

IV had a similar thing. My last period was 21/12/23 and had no period since then. I went to a scan on 3rd march expecting to be 10 weeks to be told it's at roughly 6 weeks with just a sac and two yolks. I have a subchorionic hematoma next to the sac and was spotting before I went in. The midwife said my dates are at 6 weeks because of irregular periods and only coming off contraception in September. She thinks I ovulated mid January and concieve towards the end and the first strong positive was January 28th so she's going by that date roughly making me 6 weeks. She said the pregnancy looks healthy but I will bleed and have cramps due to the SCH but I have loss of pregnancy symptoms now and feeling so nervous for the next scan. I'm confused aswel that they couldn't see much at 6 weeks. Loads of people have heart beats at that stage so it makes me feel like it's a MC.

Also I have been bledding continuously since the scan. The first night was heavy with cramps and clots ( the mw told me it's fine to have clots due to the SCH) and now a light flow/spotting ever since. It's more the lack of sore breasts and sickness that's worrying me.

same, no more sore breasts so feels a bit weird and unsettling... :/

my sonographer/midwife didn't say how many weeks at all, just said it's very early - maybe I should have asked directly but I guess I was nervous/surprised.

Just a few more days to go for my next scan.....

Everything I said the midwife gave me an answer to but I just feel she's trying to be super positive and I don't want to get my hopes up to much. I'm starting to accept its likely a misscarriage for me due to loss of symptoms. But at the same time everyone is different and IV read a lot of success stories after suspecting miscarriage so conflicting. I thought at 6 weeks they would see more but they said about 6 weeks and not enough to tell.. the waiting game is the worst! Keep me updated what happens please X

Wishing you luck for tomorrow!! I went to A&E last night with really bad shoulder pain and shooting pains in my back bum and lower tummy. They told me I'm 1cm dilated and HCG levels is 270. She did an internal check but not a scan just with her fingers to see if she could see the misscarriage passing and said she couldn't but she suspects I'm about to MC ☹️. I have the lightest bleeding but bad cramps and have been that way since the bleed I had after the scan last Friday. I feel like I'm deep down not accepting that it's over and convinced myself I'll get a nice surprise next week so my body won't physically let go and let the misscarriage continue. Although I know HCG levels are low for twins at 6.5 weeks and cervix dilation is preparing for Misscarriage. It's hard to accept. Anyway let me know how it goes for you tomorrow. Hope you get some positive news! Xx

@Silverlining42 had my scan this morning and sadly the yolk sac is gone. the gestational sac was quite shriveled up so it means i will have a miscarriage soon i think. This whole experience all happened quite quickly and i think i will need some time to process everything. The 2 weeks between scans felt quite a drag though and Ive been working non stop to not think about it..

ive done a test on Monday and it was still strongly positive so i guess we were hopeful 😔
