Brown Discharge 4/5 weeks pregant

This is my 3rd pregnancy and i took a test last week that was positive and says 2-3 which i’ve been told is 4-5 weeks pregnant? yesterday i’ve started having a little bit of stringy like discharge only 1 time and then last night is was like a browny sticky but again just a little when i wiped, this morning when i had a wee and wiped there was maybe around a 50p worth brown coloured and then a tiny tiny bit of red in it, only those 3 times i’ve been to the toilet, nothing else since, ive had a few little cramping pains but not a lot, but the bottom of my lower back is a constant dull ache, i’ve called the EPU and they said there not a lot that can be done until i’m 6 weeks so i’m booked in for a scan next monday? has anyone had similar and everything been on? i’ve just got it in my head i’m miscarrying and i’m so upset,,

Hey - I had this when I was 5 weeks pregnant and unfortunately it was a prelude to having a chemical pregnancy which followed later on that day with period like blood. Have you taken tests to see if they're getting darker/lighter as days goes on?

Ps even though mine was a CP I got pregnant again straight away and am typing 25 weeks pregnant now.

Yes my tests are still exactly the same, comes up dark blue within seconds, back pain and cramps come and go it’s strange, but the brown discharge is not constant, i’ve been to the toilet 3 times since and there’s nothing now x

Sadly it can be a miscarriage in some cases, but not always! I've had this in all my pregnancies (mixture of brown discharge and bright red blood) and it's been put down to implantation bleeding, which happens throughout the first trimester not just in the first few days. I'm sorry, the only thing you can do is wait until 6 weeks and go for a scan at the EPU. Hoping it's good news for you xx

i never had it in my last 2 pregnancies, but i’m hoping it’s nothing as it’s only been a small amount and not constant, but i guess i’ll just have to wait till next week, it’s awful having to wait and worry!

Hi @YatesH92 im going through a similar thing just now except I had a heavy bleed with clots over a couple of hours a couple of days ago, no pain at the time but now dull back pain and I will be roughly 6 weeks this Saturday. I feel like it’s a MC but I did a test yesterday and it was really strong, don’t know what to think…

Unfortunately i lost the baby, i was only 4 weeks and on my scan the sac was empty so the baby never even formed, hoping if we try again will be better the next time, i’m back at the hospital tomorrow just for an assessment, just want to make sure there no underlaying issue why i miscarried as i have 2 healthy pregnancies previously with no issues x

yes i still had positive pregancy tests the day before my scan that was very strong, everyone is different i guess by bleed never had clots or anything and was never red it was brown but i had cramps and constant back pain, it’s very sad but you have to accept it and go again i suppose x

Looking for some guidance- I have had brown spotting (all different shades) for the last 11 days. Three days ago I did a test and it came back positive but I’m still having brown discharge. Yesterday this was accompanied with some red and today I now have flaky brown bits in my wee (picture accompanied. I also have back pain. Is this a chemical pregnancy? Has anyone had anything similar which has had a positive outcome? I am 5 weeks and 1 day.
