Bleeding and pain

Hi all,

Just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant but in the middle of the night last night I started getting isolated cramps on my left hand side. This morning I woke up and had pink spotting when I wiped.

Today I've had more cramping on and off in the same place and have had intermittent brown, stringy discharge throughout the day. Now I seem to have pink discharge. Just to clarify - this is only happening when I wipe but obviously concerned it may become heavier.

Not really sure what to do - do I just wait it out and see what happens given it's so early? Try and contact my GP in the morning? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks x

@PennyPenny1 sorry to hear, I know how stressful bleeding is. I would wait it out, it could go either way at the moment but there isn't anything anyone can do and you're too early to scan unfortunately. Hopefully it's just implantation bleeding. Keeping absolute everything crossed for you. Just try to rest, and keep hydrated xx

This happened to me but at 7 weeks, I went to A & E where they send me to the Gynae department and took bloods and scanned to check for ectopic.

4 weeks is too early for a heart beat at 7 weeks they could see a sack. All was ok at the hospital and they told me not to worry.

A week later I had a gush of red blood, went back and still all ok and could see a heart beat. I'm 36 weeks pregnant.

Give 101 a call and see what they advise. GP will send you to the hospital as any blood tests they do you won't have the results for a while.

The hospital told me not to worry about brown blood only red.
