Which is the best hospital to give birth near Hemel Hempstead

Hello all,
I am researching hospitals in my vicinity in Hemel Hempstead for giving birth. I haven't heard good things about Watford. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Or how has the experiences been with Watford recently?

Stoke mandeville. I’ve given birth at Watford and SM and SM was miles better in my experience. Not sure if that’s too far from you though

Hi I'm in the same area - anecdotally, my friends who have given birth in Stoke Mandeville have all said it's amazing, and I have heard a few negative experiences with Watford.

With DS I chose Luton (as quickest/easiest for me to get to) but then planned a home birth so transferred to my local midwife team (linked to Watford) as Luton team was 'out of area'

I then had DS at Watford and couldn't fault the care. Also the other thing to note is all the antenatal appointments are at Hemel hospital which is much more convenient than having to travel to Luton or SM or even watford, and the midwife team there are just amazing. Im pregnant again and chosen the same.
