Hiya i had a hematoma at around 6/7 weeks as was bright red blood that lasteted a few days. I went to get checked at EPU. Everything was okay until 3 days ago i went for an early gender scan where i found i was having a girl, the next day i woke up to brown discharge on wiping, went to get checked out at EPU had a cervix examination and everything looked okay took some swabs and no infection. They have me a scan to check but not until Tuesday which is still 2 days away. I had no brown discharge this morning but woke up this working and and first wee of the morning brown discharge when wiping i haven’t had any since but i am worried out of my mind and dont wanna go back up the EPU as i feel like am just being a nightmare. Any advice or has this happened to anyone before? As my mind is going over time this is my third pregnancy first one ended in miscarriage; but i had nothing like this with my lad who is now 20months and am just thinking the worst.
thankyou so much

Hi there, I had a large subchorionic haematoma at 8/9 weeks, discovered at the EPU after some light bleeding. I had more fresh red bleeding a few days later but none since then. I had some private scans (as the EPU wouldn't scan me again even if I bleed more as they said they knew it's the haematoma and nothing they can do about it), and the haematoma has always been there and still quite big in size, though the baby has been doing fine. Then at around 13 weeks I had some brown discharge in the morning. Think it's just the old blood coming out, esp as the baby keeps growing bigger and squeezes onto the haematoma I guess? I don't think there's anything to worry about as long as it's not fresh red bleeding, but fingers crossed for you and all the best!
