Too early to be this sore?

I’m 25 weeks pregnant. I’m usually a size 6 pre pregnancy and I’m only 5 foot tall but despite being 5 foot I have average size legs length wise but a short torso. My ribs are in absolute agony if I sit for any length of time upright like they feel like they’re bruised and I often have to lie straight for long periods of time to try and relieve it.

just bit panicky because if I’m this sore now at 25 weeks what I’ll it be like by the end of the pregnancy when the baby is closer to full term?? Anyone else have this issue?

I had sore ribs this early, it got strangely better from about 30 weeks with only the odd day where it was sore again - think it depended where the feet were. I was quite concerned too as it was painful but turns out most things in pregnancy are just a phase!

I was exactly the same, absolutely awful. Like pp it actually got a bit better towards the end! I found kneeling on the floor and laying forward over my birth ball was bliss.

Just remembering how I couldn't stand long enough to cook dinner so would have to do it sitting on my birth ball 😂 my mum was horrified at the sight of me bouncing and chopping vegetables... Probably not the safest!

As you're not very tall I'm not surprised you're in agony! In the 3rd trimester the baby "drops" a bit, so you have a bit of breathing space and the heartburn isn't so bad

Thanks for all your replies. I actually might give the midwife a ring because I literally cannot sit upright for any length of time and when I lie down the heartburn is killing me. I also had open back surgery about 2 years ago that had to be kept open wound to recover and the extra weight is putting so much pressure on it (and it's already weakened). I hate being a moan and I feel so bad complaining so much because I'm so relieved and happy to be pregnant but oh my god pregnancy can be physically so hard.
