Hi everyone,
I'm 23+2 with my 3rd dd. This time round the hip/ back/ sciatica pain seems to have struck me early, I know it'll only get worse the more baby grows and more weight il be having to carry.
Is there anything other than heat or paracetamol pain relief that may help me relieve it a bit, any suggestions welcome 🤗

Fellow sufferer here! If your finances allow it, you could see an osteopath. I've seen mine twice over the last month (I'm 25 weeks with DC2) and it's amazing what a difference it's made. Have gone from waddling and generally moving around like an 80-year-old to feeling almost normal again.
Also, try not to cross your legs when sitting down, plant both your feet firmly on the ground instead, and try sitting upright or in a forward-leaning position (e.g. front edge of a chair or sofa, on a birthing ball etc) so you don't put too much pressure on your tailbone. Sleeping with a pillow or cushion between your knees may also help.
I still struggle with hip pain at night, which is driving me a bit mad. Have another osteo appointment on Monday so hopefully that'll help.
Sending solidarity!

I'm only early, 16 weeks, but I've really found my hips have got very stiff in the last two weeks. I realised that I had changed my posture quite a lot, so I have made a huge effort to alter it (basically rotating my pelvis and tucking my bum in!) and that seems to have really made a difference. That and yoga

@UnicornRainbowSky @AnotherStory23 thankyou ! I hope things ease with you both too.. just getting your own body around the place seems to be the hardest task sometimes 😅
Heat therapy seems to help me the most - water bottles etc but I'm sure that's one of the first things you tend to try. but yes I will 100% try what you have suggested, anything that helps is a winner! . Maybe il request a pregnancy massage for Mother's Day Grin
