Hi Ladies (are we all ladies here or are there any Men?)

Since becoming pregnant, I've noticed I've been incredibly itchy around my private bits downstairs.
It's only recently that I've come to realise, I'm only itchy when I have discharge, or other bodily fluids, touching the inside of my thighs.

I suffer from chafing and chub rub as it is, and put it down to that, but I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this? Was it an allergic reaction to something perhaps?

I did tell my midwife at my first appointment, and will mention it again on my first scan (on the 8th), but it's flaring up at the moment and it's incredibly uncomfortable.

A lot of the time, I will wake myself up from itching myself, causing bleeding and incredibly sore spots where I've itched my skin off.

Sorry for the graphic content etc, but I don't know who else to ask!

Sounds like Candida? Very common in pregnancy. I had it twice this time and to make it go away I had to use 5 pessaries (5 nights).

get it checked out, the 2nd time I had it it came back with a vengeance, had even inflammation inside.

also use cotton underwear with no pads, loose clothes, baby shower gel (the doctor told me not to even use the intimate shower gels, just baby ones. I use weleda and been fine since). And wear no underwear and no trousers at night. Anything else aggravates it. Even if it’s just a rash this should help.
