Implantation or miscarriage

I just found out I'm 3-4 weeks pregnant. I have very irregular periods (around every 2 months or so) so used a clear blue to check how far gone.
Yesterday me and boyfriend had sex and then I bled some light pink blood. Today I have had a little bit of brown blood too. I haven't had any cramping or anything. It's nothing too heavy and was only a little bit but I'm unsure whether it's implantation, a miscarriage or due to having sex?
I wasn't going to ring midwife as it's too early for them to do anything but just wondered what your experience of this is?
Should I just keep testing to see if the test becomes negative?

Thanks in advance

I have had both pink when I wiped and also brown discharge in my last pregnancy, with the pink discharge I found that sometimes if I went for a long walk and came home and peed I would have pink when I wiped

In my experience the miscarriage is bright red and clots. I really hope you don't have a miscarriage but if that were the case i think if you keep testing it will still say positive as the hormones take a while to drop

I had this with my first pregnancy after sex. Your cervix can become a bit more tender and this can cause light spotting after activities. Hopefully this is all it is!

Hello and congratulations on your pregnancy! When i had my miscarriage the blood started as light pink and very light, then it was brown BUT it then quickly, within a few hours of starting, turned to bright red, heavier and accompanied with cramps. From what you've said it doesn't sound like this, sounds more like the sex caused it, as mentioned above you'll be more sensitive during pregnancy so this can happen. Brown blood is old blood, not fresh which would be red.

Thanks for the replies! Hopefully this the the case. I've not bled anymore since that time. I've been doing pregnancy tests all week and they seem to be getting stronger. Clear blue has gone from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks so hopefully all is okay! It's just frustrating that i don't 100% know everything is okay x

The not knowing is so hard and the waiting, but hopefully all will be good for you x

The waiting is the worst! I hated being pregnant purely for the fact that it was 9 months of worrying every single time i went to the loo, it does get easier though and eventually you'll get to a point when the worry changes to excitement and it's the best feeling ever xx

It’s likely to be from sex. Your cervix becomes more sensitive and you have extra blood flow. I had the same issue after sex. Midwife wasn’t worried at all, said it’s very common
