Just heading into my second trimester and am starting to get active again now we have had the scan and confirmed everything with little bean is okay.
I am back to exercise classes and weight training which I did regularly before pregnancy, but what I am wondering. If i am exercising regularly, do i need to be consuming extra calories.
Reading up it looks like you should be consuming around 2000 a day in second trimester but if i am burning extra calories through exercise, should i be upping this?
Any advice or recommendations would be welcome!

I think in pregnancy you should avoid counting calories altogether and simply listen to your body and eat when you feel hungry. It's impossible to know how much you 'burn' exercising and trying to stick to a number rather than how you feel could mean you under or over eat just to meet the number. Also that '2000' cals is an average and won't be relevant to most women anyway.
You might also crave things that your body needs (for me it was fruit and fibre cereal with lots of milk!)
Don't mean to sound judgemental or anything btw! Just my opinion, carry on as normal and try not to overthink or you'll go mad!
