Multiple pregnancy then singleton

I had non identical twin girls 7 years ago and have recently just found I am expecting again, although I am excited I'm also terrified at the thought of twins again. I have an early scan booked for a couple of weeks time and I appreciate everyone is different and only a scan will tell me the answer, but how many of you have had multiples pregnancy to then have a 2nd pregnancy that is a singleton?

@Helen0416 my mum had twins and a year and half later I arrived. Don’t think it crossed her mind she’d be pregnant again with twins. Think it depends on age and genetics how many eggs are released. Are there twins in your family? My mum thinks she released 2 eggs because she’d just come off the pill and her hormones got too excited 😂
