Can't carry

This might sound really silly but is it possible to transfer a pregnancy from one woman to another? I'm 4 weeks pregnant and just found out. I have two children already however currently I have severe vitamin deficiencies. I had severe pre eclampsia with both pregnancies as well as complicated c sections. It would destroy me having to end the pregnancy but I know it's not safe to carry right now. I was trying to prevent pregnancy with condoms alone as my gp told me I was unable to use hormonal contraception due to the folate and b12 deficiency.

No, it isn't. Probably best to speak to your doctor about next steps.

I’m sorry you’re in this situation, but no, it’s not possible. Try not to tell yourself things like ‘it would destroy me’ as then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy- what we say to ourselves is very powerful. Try to focus on your health and the wellbeing of your existing family first, then talk to your doctor.

If you want to keep the baby, then do try and exhaust all your options, talk to specialists, get second opinions.

You may have done all of this already, but I think so often we accept the advice of one medical professional and if we'd just spoken to someone else it could have all been different.

If there's truly no way for you to carry the baby then I am very sorry that you're in this position

No it isn't possible. There is a forum called "pregnancy choices" on mumsnet if you feel you can't go ahead with the pregnancy.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I was in a full panic last night and just trying to come up with any possible solution. Thank you @NoSquirrels too Because that is the advice I'd also give to somebody I just lost my head a little last night with panic. Feel like I was set up to fail with the gp saying I definitely shouldn't have more children especially with the new medical problems on top but was then told I couldn't use hormonal contraceptives but was also told the injections and folate tablets would boost my fertility. I had a copper coil last year and had it removed urgently because of the amount of blood it made me loose. So we've been practicing natural family planning and using condoms I've no idea how this has happened. My two girls are my absolute world and the thought of something happening to me and leaving them behind is my worst fear, as I'm sure it is for most mothers. I know we're not doctors or midwife's but my last c section was horrendous I was in there for hours, lost way too much blood, reacted badly to the anaesthetic and it took a long long time for them to stitch me back together. This is probably one of the worst situations I've been in during my adult years. Booked in to see my gp Thursday so will see how that goes. Thank you again everyone I really appreciate it

Sending you love, OP. If you’re sure you don’t want more children then given your history and the issues with contraception I’d want to discuss options with my DP too - would he consider a vasectomy? Discuss everything with your GP. Good luck.

I had another DC whilst having folic acid deficiency (I only found out late and had finished my course of high dose folic acid). I'd also had 2 complex c sections, during the last one the surgeon said I could have another but one of the theatre staff said age wouldn't have another so that terrified me. If you want to continue you should try to speak to a consultant, start your high dose folic acid etc. Also see if your DP will have a vasectomy, would be the far better option than you have to keep going through this.
