2nd baby?!? What do we do!!

my partner is saying he’s ready for another baby. Financially we’re okay, we live in a small house but we’d make it work as you do! We already have a little boy who is 2 in April 💖

when I don’t think about it too deeply I’m excited at the thought of a sibling! But when I think too much I panic and worry about loving them as much as DS. Will he feel sad if we bring another baby home 😩 will I feel sad!? I just don’t know. I’d love to have another and the age gap be around 3 years but I’m just so scared! How did you all feel when you had a second?!

I don't have a second yet but am 6weeks with a sibling for DD who will be 2 in July.
We were in the living room the other day and DD was being so cute and chatty and saying new words and we were so focussed on engaging with her and what she was doing. I had a little panic that a second will never have that same one on one attention, and we won't notice every tiny detail or new thing. It's so scary!
However a few of my friends have had seconds with similar age gaps so that makes it feel a bit more normal and less scary. Its a bit cheesy but they do say your love doubles, it doesn't divide x

5wks pregnant with my second! Tbh I'm really excited for my DS! My Sister has always been my absolute best friend and I feel so lucky to be able to provide him a little friend. Yes things will change but I'm confident it will all work out. As the older sibling myself I'm so glad my Mum took the chance and had my Sis. A lot is in how you prepare them and how you treat them both when the 2nd arrives. I'm sure I'll have a few wobbles as the pregnancy progresses but right now I'm genuinely excited to see a sibling relationship develop. 🥰

I has my second 3 weeks ago and it's been amazing so far, chaotic with two but lovely. My 2.5yo is absolutely besotted with her sister, so far there hasn't been any jealousy and just wants to spend so much time cuddling her.
We weren't sure when the right time for a second was, but we knew we ideally wanted two so just thought we'd try and see what happens, ended up with a 2.5 age gap!

Aw thanks guys. I’m trying to see it from that perspective that I’m giving him a great gift! I didn’t have the best relationship with my sister growing up - she was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 10 so things were quite stressful in some senses growing up. Glad I have her now for sure but we did argue a lot growing up! I know I’d like a sibling for him as just can’t imagine him being on his own! I’m on my period currently so just going to try this month and see what happens. Part of me wants to just go for it, get pregnant asap and get it done haha we’ll be done at 2 I think
