Worried about no sickness at 6 weeks

Hi everyone, I’m a very anxious first time mum. I just wanted a bit of reassurance I guess. I’m 6 weeks today and have had absolutely zero sickness or nausea. I can’t help but worry something must be wrong. I do have sore breast, fatigue and a few other symptoms. But in regards to nausea I couldn’t feel less sick. Has anyone else had the same and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?

I’ve never had sickness in my pregnancies. I’m 14 weeks with my 3rd child and my symptoms for all 3 were fatigue, sore boobs, hunger and heightened sense of smell x

I’m 7+2 and my symptoms completely disappeared at 6 weeks, they’ve slowly started creeping back from today. I almost regret wishing for them to reappear

I found for both my pregnancies the sickness started in weeks 7-8 (and lasted till birth)

I'm 6+4. Had my first sickness today !!

Ags888 · 27/02/2023 17:24

I had sore boobs and fatigue first (tested positive a day before walking heavy holiday, not the best timing) sickness and nausea came around week 7-8 and I've been throwing up every day until about week 18. I'm 20 weeks in now and supper happy that it's behind me haha.

Twoinapod · 27/02/2023 18:08

Although it’s probably the most talked about symptom for pregnancy, many women don’t have any sickness or nausea at all during pregnancy.

Mamma2bee · 27/02/2023 18:36

I had no sickness really at all apart from one night when I was around 9.5 weeks and had too much hot sauce but 6 weeks I had no sickness at all and I'm currently 24 weeks all going well

Hey @Ags888 - can I ask how you managed that holiday? We have a month holiday to USA booked for April, and initially weren't going to TTC this month so I wouldn’t be unwell - but then figured no harm in trying, will deal with the sickness when we get to it if I am lucky enough to fall! If I do fall pregnant, I’d be 8 - 11 weeks!

Ags888 · 27/02/2023 19:35

@LittleMiss2023 it was 5th/6th week for me and it was before the morning sickness started so it wasn't too bad. Just the fatigue meaning we ended up giving up on hikes/long sightseeing walks, and in the evening instead of late dinners I just wanted to sleep haha. I think it would be much harder with the sickness I got later in pregnancy, but as many other mums say not everyone gets it bad so fingers crossed it will go easy for you!

In general we don't regret holiday not being 100% of what we planned, it was very enjoyable and knowing I was already pregnant made it more special.

If you travel a lot plan something for mid second trimester, my friends told me that's the best time for traveling but at the time I didn't believe I'll feel better in terms of fatigue and sickness. Now at week 20 I feel great and ready for advantures, but we didn't plan anything and won't get leave from work on a short notice, so I do regret that!

Pickles91 · 27/02/2023 19:56

I had zero nausea or sickness. My only symptoms in the first trimester were fatigue and sore boobs, so sounds like we’re quite similar symptom-wise. The second trimester brought along random dry heaves when I was hungry, but that’s it! I’m now 32 weeks and everything is looking good. Easier said than done, but try not to worry!

IVFbeenverylucky · 27/02/2023 20:19

Definitely nothing to worry about, especially as you are getting other symptoms. I'm 11 weeks with DC3 and didn't have any symptoms at all at 6 weeks. I've had nausea and sickness since, although not that much. As others have said, some never get anything. Count yourself lucky :).

KM91 · 27/02/2023 20:26

Definitely try not to worry. I’m 19 weeks now and felt a tiny bit nauseous a grand total of 3 times early on. Chatting to friends at the time and a quite a lot of them had minimal nausea too so I think it just varies from person to person x

maybebaby2023 · 27/02/2023 22:28

I’m 19 weeks today and I’ve had 0 nausea or vomiting at any point. My only symptoms were tiredness and ever so slightly sore boobs 😊
