How many caffetier coffees a day?

I'm a huge coffee drinker, I normally have four or five cups a day. I'm pregnant and I've had very bad morning sickness through most of my pregnancy, so giving up caffeine wasn't very hard. However, I'm now feeling better, 31 weeks and getting serious caffeine cravings. I don't like instant coffee, so I've been having one caffetier ground coffee a day. I'd really like to have two a day but I'm worried about the caffeine levels and whether it will harm the baby. I tried working out the caffeine level of ground coffee but it's variable from 90mg-140mg, so I was just wondering how much others were drinking? Also if anyone's been given any advice on this? Many thanks

I too hate instant coffee, I am personally sticking to one Tassimo pod coffee a day (about 135mg) and some chocolate as well. I sometimes substitute chocolate for a small Diet Coke.

Maybe a coffee machine would be better because you can more easily measure it.

Unfortunately it is so variable depending on beans, roasting style etc. Is it the coffee you are craving rather than the caffeine? As you are most likely through caffeine withdrawal by now. There are some good decaf beans (that you could order ground) from independent roasters - Cast Iron, Girls Who Grind do nice decaf coffee.

To add I am a huge coffee drinker (probably my biggest treat) and cut down from 2-3 cups to 1 when I was pregnant. I’m now breastfeeding and have 1 every day, 2 if we don’t sleep much!

We have a cafetière and still have a coffee or two from it every morning, but I mix it half ground decaf and half ground coffee, normally 2 decaf 1 normal, and honestly
Can't tell the diff x
