PHOTO OF DISCHARGE ATTACHED - TRIGGER WARNING
I have recently come off of the combined birth control pill around 5-6 weeks ago. I had a bleed a week after stopping it (normal withdrawal bleeding during the break week). Then around when would be ovulation time (2 weeks after period ish) I had pains on the side where my ovary is, and I had a lot of yellow-clear jelly discharge come out - and I mean a LOT - photo doesnt give it justice. So I am worried this is a sign of ovulation/pregnancy - idk. I have attached a photo to show this...

So, I'm guessing this means I have ovulated. I am now 3 days late for my period, and when me and my boyfriend have had sex we have started without a condom, then put one on about half way through, so now I am worried maybe precum has gone in me and actually got me pregnant, which is not what we want currently.

Most websites say it is completely normal for periods to be irregular after coming off of birth control, however they say this is because your body hasn't ovulated yet. So I am worried, because it is clear from the pains and discharge that I have ovulated.... I will be taking a test asap but I just wondered if anyone could possibly help or let me know what they think! Pls help!!

@Puzzlehead99411 it could be your body still regulating itself after coming off the contraception. The only way to find out is to test. When it comes to intercourse it depend if your man produce precum, some men don't, but that's something for you to know. Still getting pregnant with precum is not common, most likely if there was early ejaculation but that's something he would feel. For peace of mind just test.

You’d need to take a test to know. I’d also look at getting tested for infections as that discharge doesn’t look usual for normal discharge. discharge is not a way to detect pregnancy as it fluctuates often throughout your cycle. Does it have any smell or are you experiencing pain or irritation?

Hi, thank you for replying! I have no symptoms and have been regularly tested for STIs/STDs, me and my partner do not have any other partners, and no pain/smell. I have never had this before!

@Puzzlehead99411 sorry I didn’t mean stis, I meant more like BV or thrush, that sort of infection. Could all be to do with the hormones settling down
