When did you ovulate after miscarriage?

Hi.
I started miscarrying on 7th of this month and eliminated the sack on 10th.
Continued slight bliding for a week. Started testing for ovulation on 22nd. No positive yet. Is it possible I ovulated earlier or it just takes a bit for the body to recover?
Any experiences to share please?
Thank you!

Hi @Ella1211 very sorry for your loss, it’s a really difficult thing to go through. I ovulated 23 days after I took medication for a mmc. I passed everything the night I took the medication so 22/23 days later I ovulated. Later than it would usually be for me! But apparently this is quite common.
Hope this helps and wishing you the best 🤍I’m now 39+1 with a baby conceived with that ovulation.

@Cdoc
thank you. Very helpful to hear. I'll keep tracking then.

So veryhappy for you! Wish you and the baby are healthy and happy. And hope I'll have a similar story to tell as soon as possible.

@Ella1211 definitely keep tracking, and don’t lose hope. My cheapie sticks weren’t very strong lines, but I also used Clearblue digitals and they confirmed the ovulation, otherwise I would probably have missed it!
Hope everything works out for you, it will get better xx

Have you had a negative pregnancy test again yet? I didn’t ovulate after my mc just got my period 4 weeks later, it took ages for my tests to go negative! Xx

Ella1211 · 27/02/2023 00:51

Yes, pregnancy test is negative. Just hope I didn't miss ovulation... thank you both.

It's so hard to know but understand the longing very much! I had a miscarriage in January and ovulated just over 1 week after the bleeding stopped, which lasted 3 weeks for me so it was 4 weeks after the miscarriage actually happened. I remember being surprised how quick it was, I'd only stopped bleeding a week before and thought I'd be waiting weeks for it to come back. Best of luck!

@Ella1211 so sorry for your loss😔. I ovulated 15 days after I passed the sack , I was super suprised and relieved things settled so quickly xx

Ella1211 · 27/02/2023 16:33

Thanks for sharing and for the good wishes. I'll keep testing. Hope it will turn positive these days. Didn't think to test while I was still bleeding/spotting. But let's see.

It's kind of weird that I m having a discharge as I always do when I'm ovulating. But tests are still negative and even the control line is not too visible. I used several brands of tests..

@Ella1211 I also had ewcm about 2 weeks after the loss, I think your body can start gearing up for ovulating but doesn’t always happen at that time! Mc really messes you up sometimes 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hey there, I ovulated exactly 2 weeks after my miscarriage - miscarried on a sunday and I'm due my baby boy (currently 24 weeks pregnant) exactly 40 weeks after my miscarriage date. Just a bit of personal advise/experience we were trying for a few months before the miscarriage with ovulation sticks etc and after the miscarriage we just decided to take it easy, not like actively not ttc but not actively ttc either if that makes sense so no monitoring sex or ovulation sticks etc and that was when we then got pregnant but those ovulation sticks when I was initally using them I found caused more stress than anything (but that's just personal experience, each to their own of course but my GP did tell me not to use them). It's easy to say but just relax and I sincerely hope you conceive soon xx

Ella1211 · 27/02/2023 21:28

Thanks. @Mamma2bee great to hear. Best of luck.

The trouble so far was staying pregnant. Had a blighted ovum, 2 CPs and a Missed miscarriage since may of last year...

Hope next one will come soon and will be the one to stick!

@ChloeN yep, thanks. I think you're right. I'll just have to wait.
