Wow - they are amazing! So clear! Very impressed with the quality!

duvetheaven · 09/02/2008 21:59

They're great. Very clear Would you mind me asking how much it cost? Thanks

TLSM · 09/02/2008 22:01

They are brilliant My DH was quite disappointed that ours didnt show that clear - can I ask how many weeks gone are you there?

ilovespring · 09/02/2008 22:02

How many weeks are you? x

disneystar · 09/02/2008 22:07

great pics im having mine in 4 wks it wll make me 21 wks how many wks pg are you please as these pics are very clear i dont want to have it to early

TLSM · 09/02/2008 22:13

Disneystar is it a 4d one your having in 4 weeks I would say thats far too early I had mine (on my profile) at 28 weeks at thats the earlist they recommend them. At my 21 week scan they switched across to 4d and he didnt look right like skin and bone, I really would recommend putting it off till about 30 weeks as even mine I think was a tad too early!

mummylin2495 · 09/02/2008 22:25

what wonderful pictures mumzy.first pic for your photo album ????

ThePFJ · 09/02/2008 22:28

Wow. Those are great pics. Wish I got a scan like that. In mine though the baby is grinning omniously. Even in the 12 week one.
The nurse was slightly confused.
My family take this as a sign, and have been preparing for the end of the world as we know it since.
You have been warned.

mumzyof2 · 09/02/2008 23:00

Im 28 weeks gone. I went last week, but he had both his hands, and both feet infront of his face, so Iv had to go back again. Weve got a few minutes on a dvd aswell, and caught him sucking his thumb!
Duvetheaven - it was £105, and had them done here.

hi ya those pictures are amazing

i went for one when 28 weeks pregnant with ds and it cost me £280 as there is only one place to get it done

it was worth it though and they can tell you more 100% if everything is ok

its dead exciting especially when you look at there wee face and see who they look like

duvetheaven · 10/02/2008 15:34

Thanks mumzyof2 I am 10 wks pregnant so am thinking of doing this!!

MrsWeasley · 10/02/2008 15:37

WOW thats amazing.

EmmaKateLouise · 11/02/2008 11:14

Mumzyof2, those pictures are really good. I really want it done now! Just emailed my hubby a link to the website where you got it done to try and presuade him!

Do you highly recommend the place where you had it done? I'm always a bit wary of "private" clinics, etc, but would so love to see my baby's face. It's a couple of hours drive from me (East Yorkshire to Lancaster) so do you think it's really worth it?

NikNakF · 11/02/2008 11:20

Oh those photos are lovely! We're planning on doing it around 28 weeks too as they say it's a good time, and it means that it spaces out seeing baby from 20 week scan to birth!

mumzyof2 · 11/02/2008 22:50

HiyaEmmaKateLouise - yes, id definetely recommend it. Its a tiny place- just one room, run by three people - to of them are women, and they are really friendly.
Me and dp have spent most of our weekends here, as we had other scans done there too!
If you could find a place closer to you, I would probably use that instead of travelling, but definetely do it if you can.

I'm having one done at Baby Bond in London (saw a recommendation on here and got a flyer through post). Am having mine done at 25 weeks but am told my baby is on the big side. I think 26 weeks is optimal as my sonographer said they need to have plenty of fluid around to get a clear picture but also need to have built up their fat content (so they look like a chubby baby) as otherwise they can look skeletal (and like aliens!). Can't wait - am getting a DVD with 5 mins of footage and a CD rom with stills on so I can print my own photos - the photos are usually expensive so having the choice of which ones and how many for me was important. Mine's £135. Have a look at the vid clips on here - is amazing. www.babybond.com/4dgallery.html

HazieAndBaby · 14/02/2008 20:49

Hi girls,
I've got my 4d scan booked for 31st May and I can't wait!! I'm also going with Baby Bond but in Livingston as they were highly recommended. Ours is costing £195, but it's our first baby so don't mind paying a little extra at the moment. Hope baby is in the mood that day! We were luvky with the recent 12wk scan so keeping fingers crossed!! xx

mumzyof2 · 14/02/2008 20:51

Ours was £105 - with a dvd, and cd rom also. Got four pictures printed out too. Im glad we got it done, itll be interesting to see if he really looks that much like his brother, as he does in the pic on my profile.
