This is my second baby (4th pregnancy but the 2 I lost were early losses) and I’m 14 weeks today. I’m sure that today I have felt some movement/flutterings very low down when I’ve been on my side very still (happening right now) BUT I have an anterior placenta so it can’t be right? It’s 100% not gas it feels very different and I’ve had a baby so know what it feels like but she’s nearly 8 so I’m second guessing myself. I had an anterior placenta with her too and it was just after 20 weeks I was sure I felt her move so I feel like I’m imagining it and it must be something else other than gas?

Pretty sure I felt my second at that stage with an anterior placenta. I am fairly tall and slim.

While pregnant your digestive system slows right down due to progesterone which can lead to those feelings. I know you very much want to think they are baby and not gas but unless you’re further along that’s likely what it is. I have felt the exact same feelings that I would have sworn up and down were like baby flutters, except they couldn’t have been because I wasn’t pregnant. A lot of women mistake it for those first flutters. It won’t be too long before you are feeling them for real though

@Twoinapod it probably isn’t baby I totally agree but it’s definitely not gas. I’ve felt plenty of that during pregnancy (this one and with my daughter) and out of pregnancy it’s a completely different feeling. I really don’t mind if it’s not baby as wasn’t expecting it until I was over 20 weeks.

I felt it about that stage with my second. And the following week we could feel kicks externally, so there was no doubting it. Then with the next one I didn't feel a thing until 18 weeks. But I didn't have a placenta in the way.
You'll get people saying it's not possible if course.
If it is baby it will continue to become stronger until its unmistakable.

I'm 23 weeks with my first baby and an anterior placenta and I swear I could feel tiny movements from just past 13 weeks. I kept telling myself it was impossible but it was very low down too and didn't feel like gas. It only happened when I was lounging on the sofa not doing much and only once or twice a week. It wasn't until 17 weeks that I could definitely say I was feeling movements though as they got stronger and more frequent.

I guess it just depends where about the placenta is, mine is high up to the front so could be why I felt early movements low down. Its nice as its like I can feel him grow and kicking higher and higher over the weeks.

13 weeks with my third pregnancy and sometimes I feel tiny flutters, like scratching from inside very low down on one side. I know it's not a proper movement, kik but definitely comes from uterus.

Thanks everyone. Feeling it again now and thought I did last night too but not quite sure. I’m still thinking it can’t be baby but I know it’s definitely not gas.
