Hey I found out I was pregnant on the 21st... everything was fine until 2 days ago where I had very very slight brown discharge when I wiped. More brown discharge yesterday when I wiped. This morning I have woken up with brown/red blood in underwear. Left it a hour, went for a wee and the water in the toilet was red so I called the midwife and she said she was reassured from the brownish tinge to the color as this could be implantation etc. She advised me to wait and see over the weekend and if I carry on bleeding over the weekend to call back on Monday.

Well I've been toilet a few times since 8am, and it's pretty much a period now. I'm wearing a pad and the blood side of things resembles a period. It's more dark red.

Has anyone had this before? Or even still bled like a period and was still pregnant? Could this be a miscarriage? I've had a good cry this morning so if you do think this is a miscarriage I'm fine with the truth. Just a hard situation to be in.

Sorry this is happening to you!

I tested positive (very faintly) on 14th Feb. For that day, and the next two, I had light type period flow. The blood was bright period red and going into a pad. I wore one pad all day and it would be about a third full, so defo a light flow but was an actual flow. I thought it was a chemical.

This stopped on 4th day. I was testing every two days and my tests did get darker to the point where the test line was darker than control line so I stopped testing. I am approx. 5+3 today remaining quietly optimistic nothing else happens and all will be ok!

It's so hard in those first few days and weeks you have to just wait it out. The GP basically said the same to me and just go to A&E if I get severe pain and/or bleeding. Bleeding can go either way, I've read loads where people go on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies and some not. Fingers crossed it works out for you. X

I think it could go either way which is fustrating! Some people I’ve seen on these threads bleed and it’s heavy and red and the baby is fine, but it could also be a miscarriage😢

@Sagittarius25 so confusing and frustrating isn't it. My husband and I have tried for nearly 10 months and to get this far is a blessing. I'm just going to carry on as normal and ring the midwife on Monday and ask for a scan as that's what she said to do anyways. I keep reading all these threads of people having normal pregnancies etc so I'm trying to be hopeful:( xx I wish you so much luck cx

I thought I was starting a miscarriage 2 weeks ago (when I was about 6 weeks) as I first started with wiping red on Loo paper which was followed by a gush of red blood later in the day that went through even my trousers to the chair. Same thing happened the next day with red spotting in between. It was enough to fill a pad a day. It wasn't exactly like a period for me though as there was no clots and it was more liquidy. But it really was pouring out when I went to to the loo. It happened one more time later that week. I then had a scan and there was a heartbeat seen and they told me I have a subchorionic hematoma which is bleeding out. But I'm not out of the woods yet as it was quite large but I'm having another scan 2 weeks after the first to check. I've stopped bleeding again but was told to expect more. We shall see what happens I guess

@WonkyBonky oh hun! Bless you. I hope everything is fine for you! Keep me posted!

I'll ring up Monday and get scanned.
