Baby’s head measuring in the 10th percentile

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any experience with low head measurements at 33 weeks. I have twice weekly growth scans before seeing my consultant following a Chi (Chronic Histiocytic Intervillositis) diagnosis in a previous pregnancy which turned out fine he’s now 7.

Yesterday’s scan showed that the HC had gone from the 42nd centile to the 10th and BPD had dropped from the 53rd to the 30th. All other measurements seemed to be following the same centile trajectory and placenta is working fine.

My consultant ( a fetal medicine specialist) says it’s fine but gave no further explanation. In fact he was very dismissive stating that he’s only concerned about the placental Doppler and abdominal measurement. I can’t help worry particularly about Microcephaly. I always thought that a sharp decline in one measurement could be a cause for concern.

Any advice greatly appreciated 🙏.

Hi, I'd also like to know how this turned out! I've been diagnosed today with Chronic histiocytic intervillositis after a late miscarriage and desperate to hear and positive stories, as I'm currently 10+4 weeks. Did things turn out ok and did you take any medication? TIA 🙂
