Alternative to ferrous sulphate 200mg tablets?

I'm pregnant and anemic. I've been prescribed ferrous sulphate (Iron) 200mg tablets to take three times a day. I can't swallow tablets and the information leaflet says that they are not to be prescribed if you have difficulty swallowing tablets. I tried to contact my GP but my query was answered by a member of the admin staff who sent me a link on tips for swallowing tablets. I don't want to contact them again, as it's stressing me out. Can anyone recommend a liquid or chewable iron supplement that I can buy from the chemist? Thank you

Spatone is a liquid that you can take, most effective taken with orange juice as vitamin c aids absorption.
