Help!! Can my baby get hurt through my tummy?

Hi can my baby get hurt through my tummy? I keep forgetting that my pregnant belly sticks out so much, I leaned in the window to put my dog back inside while I was doing garden work (was too lazy to walk to the door) she’s very small so I had to lean in quite a bit to get her close enough to the floor and the window ledge pressed quite hard into my belly this morning, I felt a little bit of pain but carried on doing work I felt kind of worried all day but my baby is still moving around so I’m taking that as a good sign the reason I am asking now is because the side of my belly where I leaned on feels kind of bruised and tender tonight (there is no bruising) but it feels a little bit bruised to the touch I don’t want to ask my midwife because I’m always asking her stuff and I don’t want her to think that I over worry because I think I may come across that way to her so I thought I’d ask on here first to see what u guys think I am nearly 29 weeks

There's water, muscle and fat protecting the baby and if she's moving around OK I personally wouldn't worry, but I'm not you and if you are worried then call your midwife, it's what she's there for.

It's quite common for pregnant women to accidentally press or poke our belly. After all, our center of gravity changes. The baby is protected by lots of amniotic fluid and you have to have a real trauma for it to be dangerous. But in any case can always get it checked for peace of mind.

Please don't worry, baby will be fine! Try having a flailing toddler while pregnant - there's a lot of accidental (but still hard!) kicking! As long as baby is moving - absolutely nothing to worry about, they are really well protected in there. Xx
