Nearly 25 weeks and anxious about work

I've been signed off for a few days but am due back next week. I'm feeling anxious about missing work but also conscious that I have to put my baby first. My work is fairly intense with a lot of talking and walking. I also have to get up at 6 and my commute is an hour. I am eligible to take certified sick days but my heads in a muddle. Due to go off on 28th of April but honestly don't feel like I can make it til then. I'm over forty too which is obviously a factor. Any advice?

Is it possible to ask if you can work from home part time? It’s what I have done, my commute is 1hr20 (technically 1hr30 now I have to find a toilet on my commute). I’ve dropped down to going in 2-3 days and working from home 2-3 days to help, luckily they agreed. Failing that do you have any AL where you could use the occasional day on the build up to going off? Eg taking the Wednesdays off to help reset.

My work has an option to work shorter days and pay you the same on welfare grounds when pregnant... I plan to take advantage in the last two months

Speak to your manager or HR about adjustments they can make for your welfare so you can work as long as you'd like. Even if it's 5 minutes to sit down every hour or something.

Thanks. You've given me some things to think about.
