I didn't want to read and run

I'm 12+6 with my 3rd and suffering with terrible nausea - I've sick prob 2-3 times a week - the rest of the time it's nausea! It's showing no signs of let up! So I hope someone responds soon to help us both!

Sending hugs

Have you tried antiemetic or anti vomiting medications yet? They've been a huge help to me? Ondansetron along with prochlorperazine are the only two to make a difference for me. Ondansetron has some risks associated but I think they're very low. Some gps are reluctant to give particular ones out but I had to make the point that I have other medication (irrelevant of pregnancy) to keep down so need medication for this.
Gps will also mention the acupuncture and magnet things that you can get to reduce nausea. Maybe they work for some people, not everyone.

If you're not satisfied with the answer from one gp, speak to another one 😊
The receptionist at my surgery certainly knows my face by now after visiting so frequently.

@Barrav yeah it's terrible and being sick and having to look after toddler is something whole different level!!

@twinzmama thanks a lot for suggestion, yes I spoke to my GP and she prescribed me Doxinate OD( Doxylamine and Pyridoxine (vitamin B6)) which seems to ease my nausea!! But I hope it's safe during pregnancy as I m still very much rely on it even at 15.
If I miss a dose any single day next day I ll have to spend throwing up myself at everything!! 😞😒

@Shinea im a bit late to this thread but I’m 13 weeks pregnant and my nausea is still awful! Did it ever end for you? If so, how many weeks were you?xx

Shinea · 27/10/2023 15:24

@Raysalexandra It got better for me around 17-18 weeks, I know how terrible it can be. Hold on for a while it will get better! Xx

@Raysalexandra it ended at 17-18 weeks for me too although I was still off some foods until the end ( I did enjoy eating most things again)

Lizzieregina · 27/10/2023 15:31

I was going to suggest Ondansetron too. This wasn’t available when I had babies.

My nausea lasted till about 20 weeks, so I hope all of you feel better asap!

@Shinea this makes me feel so much better! Thank you! Xxx
