I'm going to ttc in May probably but have a holiday booked for July in Devon.
Does anyone know if it is dangerous to go Surfing while pregnant?
I was really looking forward to having a go at surfing.
Thanks

To be honest I have no direct experience but a lot of my friends surf. As long as you don't overdo it and don't try it when the waters too rough, surely its the same as excercising I would think?

Have a look here and here. Apparently the bigger your bump is the more uncomfortable it is to lie on the board as you paddle out to sea.
So I would think its a decision you need to make for yourself, depending how safe it feels and how comfy on the board you feel at the time.
Like the second article says, its up to you if you put yourself at risk of falling. You may feel sick or dizzy from being preggars at the time you go on hols and need to avoid it. Or you may feel great. Every pregnancy is different in that respect...

Good Luck. xxx

Thanks, You've been a real help. I've never surfed before so will probably spend most of the time falling off. Just depends if I manage to concieve when I want

You know, it's quite hard to stay on a surfboard when you have morning sickness! However you are much more likely to conceive while on holiday so....if you haven't managed it by then. Hurrah for holidays!

have a fab holiday - i was born in devon. not meaning to put a downer on things but not sure if you can eat clotted cream though - not all of it is pasturised. sorry but i had that prob last summer down there. i could only eat the standard stuff out of the supermarkets not the nice gooey cream out of the markets or on a cream tea,

Oh Drat. Well bring me back a pasty at least.
