I'm very early in pregnancy. My LMP was about 7 weeks ago and my first positive pregnancy test was about 3 weeks ago.

I've been to the EPU three times since Saturday, each time having bloods taken. My hcg levels are rising but only about 11% each 48 hours, rather than the 63% I'm told they look for.

I also had an internal ultrasound on Monday which showed a very early pregnancy, just a gestational sac, in the right place so confirmed not ectopic.

I've been told today after my last blood test that given my hcg is rising albeit slowly and that my ultrasound showed a normal gestational sac that the consultant would like to give me a week before scanning me again to see if the pregnancy has developed further. If there is no development then I think steps need to be taken to terminate the pregnancy as it would be considered non viable.

I'm sick with worry. I can't sleep or work. I'd be really grateful for any stories of slow rising hcg which suddenly skyrocketed and turned into successful pregnancies, as I've been told it can happen.

Hello,

please can I ask, as we are in the same boat very slow rising HCG and are wondering if there is any good outcomes for others who had this. Are you still pregnant or did it end with a loss? So sorry don’t mean at all to be insensitive if it didn’t end well we have just read so much and it’s all saying it can’t end well so if there are any success stories we would love to know 🤞🏻
