Digital test results - positive?

Hello,

I am currently 9 days late for my period, which is strange in itself as I have never missed one before.

I’ve taken non-digital tests and they are negative, I’ve also taken Clear Blue weeks indication digital tests. The digital tests show as ‘not pregnant’ but when opened up I have 3 lines inside. What does this mean?

some articles say there is always 3 lines, others say this is very early pregnancy. Which is right? When should I be testing?

I know opening them up isn’t recommended but I’m desperate for answers as to why I’m late!

Would really appreciate some help 😊

Digital test results - positive?

My experience was i had pregnancy symptoms and used the test 6 days before my period in the afternoon and it showed the same as your test . 2 days later i did it again same time of day and it was positive . with you being 9 days late for your period i would suspect it is accurate of not being pregnant .

with the digitalis it’s about the colour depth on certain lines, there’s always 3 lines when you open them up. It might be you’re pregnant but not enough hormones in your urine yet. I actually took my digitalis apart in this pregnancy to track how the colour lines changed as it went through the different weeks and it was fascinating as each one seems to track your hcg differently.

If you aren't getting a clear BFP now at 9 days post ovulation then it's a BFN sorry OP

I think it would be unlikely you were pregnant if you are not testing positive 9 days late for AF. I had an anovulatory cycle once and period came on day 42. In the meantime I had tons of 'pregnancy' symptoms but negative tests. When my period finally came it was like a breakthrough bleed. I think it was due to extreme stress the cycle before (I handed in my PhD thesis..!) - could it be possible you've had increased stress etc that stopped you ovulating this month?

The only other thing I would say is to ask your GP for a blood test as that will give you clarity. If you explain that you're 9 days late but commercial tests aren't detecting anything they may be able to test for you?

If you’re 9 days late and getting negatives, the. It’s likely to be negative. You should be getting strong positives at this point. Sometimes our cycles can be off for no real reason, it happens to most women at some point, sometimes you can miss periods all together. Things like illness or stress can also throw things off. The digitals always have 3 lines, don’t go taking things apart, they just cause unnecessary stress.
