Hi all,

I've been put on blood thinners, tonight being my first shot.
Silly question but can I alternate places where I inject nightly or does it always have to be on the same side? Tonight I did it to the right of my belly button. For instance, can I inject tomorrow to the left and alternate each evening?
Also, is it normal for it to sting a bit afterwards?

Thanks in advance mamas xxx

Yes anywhere in line or below belly button and in top of thighs is fine. They do sting like little bee stings and some places are more sensitive than others . You will get used to them though just don't hesitate and jab it in quickly!

@ohhollyfred
Thank you so much for your reply!
I felt so unprepared last night but watched a few videos via NHS to see how to do it but had no idea if it had to be same place daily.
Thank you for Clarifying xx
