Would a doctor tell me if I had a prolapse?

Pregnant with my second. Recently I've been feeling a sensation in my vaginal area that has made me wonder if I have a prolapse - I've googled what a prolapse feels like, and I'm not sure at all if my feeling matches up to that description. I've also had a look down there, and I have no idea what I'm looking at tbh.

I am 31 weeks pregnant, and had to go into triage last week for unrelated reasons. The doctor did an internal examination to make sure my cervix wasn't dilated. I didn't think to ask about the prolapse thing at the time.

I'm just wondering now, can I assume that if I did have a prolapse then the doctor would have mentioned it? Would they be able to see from an internal examination, and if they did see would they have mentioned it or perhaps just assumed that I already knew?

It could be that they didn't notice because they weren't looking for it.

It could be that they did but it was minor/unlikely to cause a problem/likely to self correct after birth.

If you're worried about it the best thing to do would be to pay for a private consultation with a pelvic health specialist physio (the type of specialists that do mummy Mots and that sort of thing)

I had one postnatally and had a small prolapse that just corrected itself eventually. She said it would usually have the same feeling as when your tampon isn't quite in properly.

Thanks so much for replying @Number1number2

Unfortunately that kind of thing probably isn't in our budget at the moment Sad I'll bring it up with my midwife, though.

Hm, my problem is I'm a lifelong pad user so I don't know what that feels like really! Though I imagine it could feel like what I'm feeling. I'm glad yours corrected itself though, that's good to hear!
