Has anyone had a good experience getting pregnant only 3 months after a c-section ? Let's start from the beginning, I have had 2 previous C-sections, first pregnancy everything was going smooth then emergency c-section, (19months later)my Second c-section it was a elective, now 3 months after my second (elective) c-section, I've got a positive pregnancy test, im super nervous and unsure of what's going to happen, my mind is all over the place ( is it going to be safe? Complications ? Risks ? ) I hope everything works out and baby is fine, but I want to know if it worked for someone else in the same position. Does anyone have any advice ?
(I should add, I haven't had a proper period since the birth of my last child(3months ago) so I'm unsure of dates for this pregnancy (??ovulation or conception??) Also when I tested, I hadn't missed my period yet, i tested 4-5 days earlier then my expected period, I got a BFP (first response midtream test) the test line was darker then the control line.)

You definitely need to speak to your care provider sooner rather than later, there are risks involved in having a pregnancy so soon after a C-section.

Firstly, the basic risk is that you will be very depleted from previous pregnancy so you would want to be taking a high potency prenatal asap, not just a bog standard one from boots.

Might be an idea to ask your midwife for a more comprehensive set of blood tests at your booking app, including folate, B12, vitamin D - they are not given as standard but they might agree considering the circumstances. It's worth a try.

The more serious risk is of uterine rupture. Not saying that to scare you, hopefully you will get some people along to tell you that it happened to them and it was totally fine but you do need to talk to a professional.

Hey! First of all congratulations! Flowers
I found out I was pregnant 12 weeks after an emergency C-section and all was fine. No issues with the close proximity at all.
I've had 3 sections too but I remember the consultant telling me she had one lady who had 7 cs! Obviously don't recommend that lol but these things happen so don't stress too much! Smile
Good luck!

@Babymama4444 I've had 3 sections in 3 years with no complications, I was pregnant 5 months after my first too. My consultant didn't really bat an eye & was very supportive all the way. My last section I took longer to recover (but I think that's because I was running about after another) & the incision took longer to heal probably given the fact it had been opened a few times. So no issues here, hoping it'll be the same for youSmile
