Pregnant or Miscarriage?

I had a positive test 31st Jan which suggested I was 2-3 weeks along. 12th Feb I start heavy bleeding, cramping and clotting so went EPU on 14th, a 5 week sac was there and been told to go back 1st March. Next day I passed a huge clot that went straight to the back of the toilet so couldn’t investigate it. Since, I have still been bleeding but not as heavy, more mildly and less clots (6 pads a day roughly) and mild cramps here and there everyday which I need a hot water bottle for. I have been doing pregnancy tests like an insane women, waiting for that faint line to start appearing as I don’t see how the pregnancy can be viable with this much blood and cramping but still dark line 7 days after bleeding started. I’m urinating every 20 minutes, hungry constantly and getting another spot on my face each day.

I know they say if you have a miscarriage then it takes weeeks for HGG to leave your body so I know positive tests are common.

Anyone had a similar experience and able to share what happened? Or anyone who has sadly experienced a miscarriage 5/6 weeks along, how long did it take for the tests to start going lighter for you?

appreciate anyone and everyone’s time reading this!

After I started bleeding with clots, I stopped testing after 5 weeks of still getting strong positives because I finally stopped bleeding and was having a scan the following week.
When I attend they didn’t even scan me, just asked for a sample. Sometime in that week my strong positive finally went negative.

I hope things work out better for you, sorry you are going through this Flowers

I am so sorry for your loss! And appreciate your comment. And really sorry to ask, but did you have less big clots once passing what you believed to be a massive one that could of been the sac?

Yes, I did pass lots of smaller ones once I’d passed a big one.
However, another MC where I just initially had bleeding, the pregnancy sac was just sat in the pad, as in it wasn’t within a clot. It had just come out with blood so I don’t know what you can read into your situation. I think it’s horribly cruel to leave women in such torturous limbo. Could you ask if they will do blood tests to check your levels? 1st March is such a long time to wait Sad

@ItsAllSoComplicated That is awful, I’m an genuinely so sorry you have gone through a miscarriage multiple times! Yeah very much a horrible limbo at the moment, I feel like I’m going crazy with every day that passes as I’m doing so much reading to try get an understanding of what’s happening but seems there’s a big grey area as the symptoms could also be nothing or something else. I never had any of this with my first pregnancy but I understand every pregnancy is different, I am just utterly confused.
