Pregnant After 2 Ectopics

Hello,

I suffered an ectopic in 2014 which resulted in me loosing my left tube. I then fell pregnant and had a successful pregnancy.

I then fell pregnant again in August 2022 which was my 2nd ectopic but treated with methotrexate.

I am now pregnant again and so terrified. I am 5 weeks tomorrow but have to wait until I’m 6 weeks for my scan to confirm if everything is in the right place. Longest wait ever after finding out so early!

With my recent ectopic, I had 0 symptoms, the only way I knew there was something wrong was because I was diagnosed with a PUL on my first scan and then HCG didn’t double as it should etc.

So this time around I got a dark positive test on the day I was due on but with ectopic I didn’t get a positive until 4 days late and it was very faint. I also am having sore boobs and the ‘tugging’ feeling in my tummy which again I didnt have before.

Can anyone tell me any similar experiences and what your outcome was?

Thank you!! Xx

Hi. Just can across you post… what was your outcome. I hope everything was fine for you?
I have suffered two ectopics and would love to hear a success story after.

That is amazing news, congratulations! I found the first ectopic a lot easier to deal with than the second.
Did they you offered any tests before you tried ttc again? I am having the dye test done next month hopefully. Your story has gave me hope 😊

@Sammyma thank you! I also found the first one a lot easier to deal with than the 2nd, I don’t think you expect to have another one even though you’re more at risk of one!

I didn’t get offered anything but I did argue that I wanted my remaining tube dye tested (as they declined it at first). I did end up getting referred for that but I fell pregnant before they did it.

Really hope your tube tests gives you some answers! Some say it can help clear them by pushing small blockages through Xx
