Confused with early viability scan

So posting this for some hope and positive stories although expecting bad news.
Went for an early viability scan due to previous ecoptic. I should be around 7 weeks due to a due date calculator i used online. Gestational sac was seen but that is all.
I ovulate late. Always have since my previous 2 children were born. Last period was 1st jan and ovulated on 22nd jan. Would this push me back a bit? And therefore only be 5-6 weeks?
I am aware these early scans don’t always reassure but at least i know it’s not ecoptic.
Going back in 2 weeks to see if there’s any change.
Has anyone had anything similar happen? I’m so confused on how to estimate my weeks.

Yes if you ovulated 22nd Jan you’re actually 6 weeks now. They base it on ovulation at 14dpo.

When they date you by LMP I mean. Until your 12 week dating scan they date you based on if you ovulated 14dpo

As the pp said, you may as well estimate your lmp as 8th Jan if you are confident you ovulated on ~22nd.

I ovulated on day 24, so I just put in an estimate lmp when I had a private scan rather than my actual lmp. I didn’t want them telling me that there’s something wrong just because of the dates if I knew when I ovulated (I used opk and bbt). I had the scan at 9 weeks though and even knowing my ovulation they put me behind by 3 days. By the dating scan I was ahead two days.

oh that’s interesting. Never thought of doing that. I’ll be aware of this now then. Will update the post in a few weeks with the scan result incase anyone else is researching.

just thought i’d update and let anyone know incase they go through anything similar. Went for another scan today (3 weeks after first) and she found a baby with a heartbeat 😍 Dating at 8wks 4days which is exactly right according to my late ovulation.
