Abnormal 20 week scan

Hey, I’m going on 25 weeks pregnant now and at my 20 week scan they noticed some fluid on baby’s kidney so we was referred to fetal medicine.

We had a appointment and scan with them the next week and we was told that they think our baby has a duplex kidney with hydronephrosis on potentially only one of the kidneys. They then told us that baby’s head was measuring <1% and that it looked very narrow. He said both of these things together potentially indicate a chromosomal issue, and the only way to know for sure would be the amniocentesis. If I were to have it now and went into early labour it would mean miscarriage but if I left it until 32 weeks it would be safer. We said no regardless and it wouldn’t change our decision and I just feel like it’s too risky.

We now have to have scans every 4 weeks but the specialist expects her kidneys to get worse as in his words ‘he hasn’t saw it so bad so early before’.

I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and what was their outcome?
