Hi there all,

I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant and so happy about it. But I can't eat....I have zero appetite and am bedridden with tirerdness. I ended up in hospital 2 nights ago with dehydration and they told me that I will probably be in and out to them... I can mange toast, apples, ice lollies but that's it. If anyone can reassure me this will get better PLEASE let me know....thanks all xx

Oh gosh, so sorry to hear this. Didn’t want to read and not reply. I didn’t have it nearly half as bad so won’t pretend I did but it sounds grim.
I started to feel gradually better from 10 weeks and I’d say was completely back to normal by 14 weeks and I’ve actually been feeling great since. It definitely gets better, although appreciate it feels never ending now, but it’s honestly a distant memory (27 weeks now).

Just eat what you can when you can stomach it, if that’s all you can manage that’s fine. I lived off toast and ready salted crisps and it’s not done any harm. I found sipping room temp water slowly the only way I could drink it otherwise it made me feel worse. Also eating small amount throughout the day, being too full or too hungry made me feel worse.

I'm pregnant with an IVF baby, I was so healthy before getting oregnant in my eating to optimise ivf, and then first trimester hit 🤢🤮 only wanted simple cars, I was so hungry but then faced with food frlt so I'll at the sight. I mamaged broccoli with lemon juice and fruit as a semblance of healthy wating but not much else. I wasn't as bad as alot of ppl are, but was sick most mornings from about 9 weeks to 13 though, and if I didn't eat enough in the day the nausea was awful. The tiredness was also unreal, but I'm now 19 weeks and look back on it like a distant memory! About 14 weeks my appetite came back and my energy. I celebrated with a weekend away where I ate all the food I missed so much, it was absolutely amazing 🤣 just ate my way across a city break. Yours will pass too, just try and est frequently and small, I know it's hard x
