Scan tomorrow so scared of another MMC😭

Hi ladies !
9+4 tomorrow and caved for a private scan.
its taken us 2 years to conceive again after my MMC at 11weeks but baby was only measuring 6.
so scared about my scan tomorrow!! I know I can’t change the outcome.
just looking for some support if anyone else has been through this and any advice for tomorrow??

Hi @Ghayx so sorry for your loss 🤍
we had a mmc last year and when falling pregnant afterwards also booked a private scan at 8.5 weeks. The only tip I have is that we told the sonographer before the scan that we’d had a mmc, so that the moment he saw a heartbeat the could tell us (which was as soon as he put the camera in) and avoided any silences with us panicking.

Hey, I’ve been through the exact same, the fear of the first scan was awful! My scan was at 10+4 because it took ages for me to get the courage to book it! It was through my belly which did help in a way as I’d only ever had an internal scan in the past. I told the sonographer beforehand and she was so kind, I was crying my eyes out before she did it. Luckily all was okay but I know exactly how you feel, good luck for tomorrow❤️

@Ghayx i know it’s easy for me to say now but try your hardest to be positive. I’m 38 weeks now so not long to go. Please let us know how you get on xx

I shall update tomorrow and do my best to stay positive , I do have stronger symptoms this time so that’s giving me some hope 💕

@Ghayx its horrible I couldn’t hardly speak to my partner on the way there! Have you had any different symptoms this time round? Xx

I have had stronger symptoms this time, sore boobs, nausea , feeling exhausted. Did you notice a difference with your symptoms? Xx

@Ghayx me too, I had a lot more sickness and my sore boobs and nipples didn’t disappear like last time! Xx

Yes mine did disappear last time too , and thinking back I had no symptoms after around 6/7 weeks. So I’m taking it as a good sign . Just need to get my mind at ease now , hopefully the scan will give me that xx

I’m so sorry for your loss. Best of luck for tomorrow. The first trimester is absolutely the worst as you’re in a position of unknown and absolutely nothing you can do. Really hoping you have good news tomorrow and see your little bean

So sorry for your earlier loss. It’s so so hard.

After our MMC, it took us nearly 4 years to conceive (a failed IVF cycle and then a natural surprise baby!). The scans with our son were tough and I was terrified every time. But he’s here and well and baby number 2 is on the way!

I had a MMC, I went for my 12 week scan and found I'd lost the baby at 6 weeks. I had strong symptoms throughout and had no idea.

I also booked a scan at 8 weeks with my next pregnancy and was absolutely terrified,. luckily all was well. I was again terrified at my 12 week scan as it brought back the memories of the loss. As others have said, if you tell the sonographer, they are very understanding.

I know not much we say will ease your stress at the moment but please let us know how it goes 😊

9 weeks 1 day , was so lovely to see the heart beating away and it kicking and moving its legs and arms !!
