Ovulation and due date worry

Hi! I’m in desperate need of some advice. All online due date calculators predict from your last period date which would put me at 9 weeks 3 days , as I have quite a lot of fibroids I was keen to have an early scan. I booked an early private scan and they measured me at 5 weeks 5 days, saying that it’s too early to hear a heat beat and either dates are wrong or the foetus has stopped growing. For anyone good with dates and this stuff; We could not had conceived before December 24th, but I did multiple pregnancy dates between 7th - 19th of January and they were all negative until the 30th January! The one before the 30th was on the 19th and was negative. I don’t understand why they are so certain I should have been 9 weeks but it obviously is very worrying and heart breaking to hear I could potentially have a foetus that stopped growing. I was on the pill beforehand and this is my first pregnancy, so my cycles could have been everyone coming off the mini pill… but I don’t know. I would love any advice as I’m beyond myself with worry and won’t get another scan for a few weeks as can’t afford another private one. (For reference my period was on 10th December and lastest 10 days - this is what they’ve calculated on).

Thanks so so much ❤️

They always go from your last period. But it sounds like you’re more likely to be where they’ve measured you from your dates. Try not to worry too much about it. I know my dates will be off as I’m technically 5 weeks going by period dates, but I know I’m only 15dpo so I’ll be about a week off on the scan.

It sounds like you didn’t ovulate until sometime mid January if you didn’t get your positive until 30th. Your 12 week scan will date you correctly.
