Were they actually big at birth?

I don’t feel much bigger than with my last average size baby, the fact I’ve been really blocked up hasn’t helped 😷 bump is measuring exactly average but apparently baby is 90th centile according to scans, mainly due to big tummy (diabetes).

Just curious to see what happened to others!

Hey, my bump was measuring small at every midwife appointment from 28 weeks, i'm naturally petite so the midwife wasn't concerned but i got sent for a growth scan every time. At every growth scan DS was plotting way over average and on the larger side. If he was born at what they were saying he was expected to be over 8Ibs!

I had a healthy 7Ib 1oz baby boy, no complications at birth!

I personally wouldn't take the estimated weights & growth charts to be accurate.

Small bump so sent for growth scans. Scans said absolutely huge 10lb-er! Turned out to be 8lbs 7oz.

Was very infuriating that I was referred for growth scans twice due to bump size, even though the scan confirmed a large baby each time.
