Possible hydrosalpinx and just found out I’m pregnant. Help 🙏🏻

Hello everyone,

I am in shock, been trying to conceive for a while now and got pregnant back in sept but was a chemical. Nothing since so went to have initial tests, mine came up great but my husbands sperm not so great. We assumed this was the issue so booked a private clinic to potentially start IVF..

We had our tests on Tuesday and at first everything looked fine but at the last second the sonographer wasn’t sure if she could see some fluid in or near my left tube, I was told it’s likely a hydrosalpinx which I know causes infertility, prevents implantation and can cause misscarriage since the fluid is toxic.

Tonight 2 days later I’ve just had positive pregnancy tests and I’m absolutely terrified. It’s also my wedding anniversary today so all just crazy to me this is happening.

Im of course thinking the worst…

does anyone have experience or success with this and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?

Strangely we are close together (currently 8 weeks and 1 day). Found out of possible hydrosalpinx (now confirmed) on the 13th of Feb and then found out I was pregnant 21st of Feb. Petrified from what is online but I’ve had an early scan and everything was perfect. No concerns regarding liquid at all from my gynaecologist. They said it causes issues falling pregnant but now that baby was where it should be and happy and healthy that there was no additional risk.

We lost a baby April last year and lost hope at falling pregnant when we heard of the fluid so could not believe when I saw the line appear. I know every pregnancy is not the same but I hope it provides some reassurance. 🤍

How strange basically this all happened at the same time for both of us!

I am 9 weeks today and all is going good too. I had an early internal scan with the NHS and also had another on Friday and looks perfect- thank god!

I had an early misscarriage in September so have been very anxious but it’s getting better week on week 🙏🏻

I had my tube checked on my internal scan and they couldn’t see anything, nor could they on the second scan. So as far as I’m aware there is no hydrosalpinx, no fluid etc either. So I’m confused as to what they saw in the first place. But still it is in the back of my head!

hopefully everything continues as it is for both of us 🙏🏻🤍 I’m sure it will.
