Pregnant 7 months after 1st Child birth - maternity pay?

Hi,

I really don't know who to speak to so I thought I would try here, I started my maternity leave for my daughter on 27/04/2022 I have taken 12 months, I had 6 weeks at 90% of my wages and 33 weeks stat maternity pay.

I am pregnant again 11 weeks today (16/02/2023) I am pretty sure my mat pay stops at the end of this month.

My official due back to work date is 08/05/2023. I am not going back that date due to annual leave to take, so taking that I actually am due back 07/06/2023.

My work holiday year starts 1st April. I get 28 days holiday a year. I have worked there for 8 years.

My new pregnancy is due 04/09/2023.

Is anyone out there an expert on HR/ payroll who can tell me the following

  1. Will i qualify for a second stat maternity pay, or are my earnings too low due to being on mat leave already and taking 12 months?
  2. Do I have to go back to work in between mat leaves?
  3. What is the best option for me & employer to take?

Hi op what sort of area do you work in. I'm in similar situation however I'm due baby any day. So I qualify for Maternity leave back to back so what they do is they go and look at your qualifying week and see that your on maternity pay so I was told what they do is go to the year before and take your pay from that. I do not have to return to work in between as we are still employed. All holidays carry forward basically. I hope this makes sense.
